Researchers at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke are studying Parkinson’s disease. The purpose of this research study is to determine if the experimental drug JP-1730 compared to a placebo (a sugar pill that neither helps nor harms) will help control both the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and the complications of long-term treatment. The study lasts approximately 5 weeks and involves a short inpatient stay each week.
You may qualify if:
· You are 30 -80 years of age
· You are experiencing abnormal involuntary movements (dyskinesias)
· You are finding your standard medications to be less effective than before
You may not qualify if:
· You have heart or lung disease.
· You are pregnant or breast feeding.
Location:
· NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
